I was brought on at MapQuest to help bring a new IoT product to its alpha release. As part of the API team, I wrote code, unit and integrations tests, and documentation for API routes, and worked with the mobile app teams to ensure easy integration. I also took on managing DevOps for the team, improving the deployment pipeline by transitioning to Docker on ECS, formalizing the branching policy, and converting deployment jobs to Jenkins Pipelines.
